Alistair spent 15 years with a variety of New Zealand consulting engineering practices, designing low- and medium-rise buildings. More recently Alistair completed 11 years heading up industry organisation Steel Construction New Zealand, where he developed his specialist structural steel expertise. He is a structural steel standards committee member, a charted professional engineer (CPEng) and a member of the institution of Professional Engineers NZ (MIPENZ). Alistair has presented numerous papers at the engineering conferences worldwide.
